The X-Men Movies: One Busted Timeline

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!

A couple weeks ago, Mashable released a video that attempted to break down the complete timeline of the X-Men film franchise. I thought it would be interesting to see how they pieced everything together and what insights they would have. I went into the video with few, if any, expectations, and ended the video feeling confused and disappointed. Now, I don’t put the blame on Mashable for my confusion because they made a decent attempt at organizing FOX’s busted timeline. I am disappointed with Mashable because they missed an important detail from X-Men: Days of Future Past that seriously screws up their timeline, and the timeline of the X-Men film franchise as a whole.

Today, I will add my own opinions of the trailer to the mix whether they are original or not, or shared by others, while attempting to keep the post short.

SPOILER WARNING!!

Ant-Man: Speculation Follow-Up, Thoughts, and Itty-Bitty Review

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!

Last week, I went to see Marvel’s Ant-Man, and I had a great time. In my previous post, I mentioned I might do a follow-up to the earlier Ant-Man/Age of Ultron speculation post I wrote. So, today, I will begin with said follow-up, do an overview of the theory I concocted, and what ended up happening when I saw Avengers: Age of Ultron. Then, I will discuss my viewing of Ant-Man. Afterwards, I will do a tiny review of the film as it compares to other films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

MCU Speculation: Ant-Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!

Today, we’re going to talk about Ant-Man. I know what you’re probably thinking; there are already numerous other posts discussing the new Ant-Man trailer, the good and the bad, and providing insights about the film that can be extracted from the two-minute trailer. While there are a few bits from the trailer that I enjoyed (mostly the actual Ant-Man action bits), this post will not be discussing the trailer. Instead, I’m going to cover an idea that has been rattling in my head since the casting of Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. The discussion will be about Ant-Man, but how it relates to Avengers: Age of Ultron. Read the rest of this entry
